The QR Code ( Quick Response Code ) is a type of two-dimensional barcode developed in Japan in 1994 by the company ” Denso ,” a subsidiary of ” Toyota .” It is considered one of the innovative solutions in the world of technology , used to store information quickly and easily that can be read by smartphones and tablets equipped with cameras. The QR code is distinguished by its ability to store large amounts of information compared to traditional barcodes .

Concept of QR Code and How It Works

The QR Code consists of a series of black and white squares arranged in a specific pattern that allows the reader device ( such as smartphones ) to interpret the information stored within it . These codes can contain a variety of data, such as URLs, text, contact information, geographical locations, email addresses, and even multimedia files.

Reading the QR Code is simple: by directing the camera towards the code using a dedicated app or a regular camera app that supports automatic reading of the code . Once the code is scanned, the data is extracted and presented to the user, whether it is opening a web link, displaying text, or downloading a file.
